Formidable Forms (AI)

The most advanced WordPress form builder with AI power

Our verdict
Formidable Forms is the most feature-dense WordPress form plugin on the market, going far beyond contact forms to power calculators, surveys, quizzes, and full data-driven web applications. Its Formidable Views system lets you display submitted data on the front end — a capability no rival plugin matches out of the box. AI automation via ChatGPT integration, PDF generation, digital signatures, and a 175+ template library push it firmly into application-builder territory. The learning curve is steeper than WPForms or Gravity Forms, but for developers and power users the payoff is substantial.

Is it right for you?
Good fit for
WordPress developers
Formidable gives developers full HTML/CSS control, extensive hooks and filters, and an API that makes it the most extensible form plugin in the WordPress ecosystem.
Calculator-heavy projects
The calculated fields engine handles real-time mortgage, loan, BMI, and custom pricing calculators far better than any competing plugin.
Data application builders
Formidable Views transforms submitted form data into front-end searchable directories, job boards, and member portals without additional plugins.
Agencies and freelancers
Multi-site licensing, white-label options, and a client-friendly template library make Formidable the go-to choice for agency workflows.
Survey and quiz creators
Built-in NPS, Likert scales, quiz grading, and visual reporting rival dedicated survey SaaS tools at a fraction of the cost.
Less suited for
Non-WordPress sites
Formidable Forms is a WordPress plugin exclusively and cannot be used on Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, or any non-WordPress platform.
Beginners needing simplicity
The sheer volume of settings and advanced features creates a steep learning curve that beginners may find overwhelming compared to WPForms.
Real-time collaboration
Formidable has no multi-user form co-editing, version history, or collaborative workspace features found in SaaS form builders like Typeform.
